Starting 2007 COGITA entered into a six year sponsorship of the Westpac Manukau Business Excellence awards in New Zealand.

COGITA stepped into this role when Enterprising Manukau sought a new sponsor to fill a major vacancy. COGITA now sponsors the Excellence in Innovation & Strategy Category.

Established in 1983 and located in the Manukau City CBD since 1989, COGITA and its Directors are delighted to be partners with Enterprising Manukau in supporting these well regarded, annual business excellence awards. This event recognises the Counties Manukau region's top business achievers — companies and individuals.

COGITA sponsors the Excellence in Innovation and Strategy Category Award. Judged against the Baldridge criteria, this excellence award recognises the implementation of creative, new and innovative practices and strategies which have made a significant contribution to an organisation's success.

The winner of the Excellence in Innovation and Strategy Category Award for 2007 is Catch Restaurant/Guada Fiesta Bar.
