Life is too short to spend even a small part of it doing what makes you miserable or dissatisfied. But almost any job will make you feel that way if you don't have a worthwhile reason for doing it. It's about purpose. With a sense of purpose that total dead end job can have the positive significance of a stepping stone.
COGITA does not work well for people who have no purpose. Although COGITA's leaders have eliminated dead end jobs at COGITA people can, of course, use a COGITA job as a stepping stone in worthwhile careers outside COGITA.
PURPOSE: WHAT IT IS
If purpose is the reason for existence then your purpose, in working for COGITA, should be to find fulfilment while building the lasting business partnerships which are COGITA's purpose. If you join COGITA you should be seeking a fantastic place where people love to hang out and work and clients love to do business.
At COGITA we do not glorify work for its sake. We discourage "workaholism." So if you are thinking of applying for a job with us, please consider this -- taking into account the past, present and future of your personal, and professional, life what is your answer to the this question: What is your reason for existence?
When you have answered that question you will be in a position to decide if a job at COGITA will help you to fulfil your purpose. If a job with us will not help you to fulfil your purpose, or if you do not have a purpose, then COGITA is not the right place for you.
YOUR PURPOSE AND WORK YOU LOVE
Until COGITA perfects a means of fulfilling its purpose without the necessity for its people to perform work a major part of COGITA people's lives will be consumed by work. Even at COGITA where work's effects are important and work is not glorified for its sake you will have to seek and find work that you love. If you are not engaged in work that you love it is hard to enjoy life and fulfil your purpose and you place an unreasonable burden on other parts of your life to provide you with satisfaction. All in all such a situation will represent, for you, a negative spiral with ripple effects which reduce the effectiveness of your peers and colleagues - not to mention the wider effects on service quality and responsiveness to COGITA clients.
